Connecting members with trade opportunities in California and Brazil
Dear Members & Friends of the Chamber,
BCCC is constantly working to give our members opportunities to promote their businesses and increase their revenues, in keeping with our Vision Statement and Strategic Plan goals for 2011-2014, which states:
“Provide value, services, networking opportunities and recognition for our Members; Create an environment that promotes trade business and community growth; and Operate BCCC with excellence, innovation and efficiency in accordance with our values and vision.”
One major strategy is to give you opportunities to network with like-minded business people through events, meetings and conferences where you have opportunities to connect and build relationships. The added benefit is the opportunity to learn new information, and to generate new ideas and support for your business endeavors. We have held several successful events and co-partnered with other valuable organizations in order to provide the membership benefits we strive to deliver.
In conjunction with the above, we have extended our services into the social media arena. BCCC members can now join us on Facebook and LinkedIn and benefit by posting your business promotions on our pages and introducing yourselves to our Friends. You can also stay informed on the latest business and international trade developments relating to Brazil through our News Feed on both our website and social networking pages.
We anticipate much more to come and are working hard to develop and strengthen relationships with other organizations where partnerships will bring mutual benefits for all members.
Be sure to take advantage of these benefits that are provided to you. Please:

LAVA Forum on International Expansion
Last month, BCCC partnered with the Los Angeles Venture Association (LAVA) at its forum on international expansion entitled “The Do’s and Don’ts of Doing Business Overseas.”
The event featured a panel of international business development experts, who highlighted the importance of doing your homework first before entering a foreign market. Firsthand accounts of market entry attempts into China, Russia and Brazil, amongst others, were shared with the audience.
Attendees included numerous entrepreneurs, executives, investors and financial advisors, and BCCC was a featured program exhibitor. The event was designed for networking and learning, and stimulated interest on the part of attendees seeking to learn more about doing business in Brazil.
The event was a great success and strengthened BCCC’s relationship with LAVA members who now look to the chamber as a trusted resource and channel for business expansion into Brazil.
