BCCC and CMJP form Important partnership during Los Angeles Brazilian Film Festival

The Brazil California Chamber of Commerce (BCCC) forms partnerships with the City Council of João Pessoa (CMJP), the Assembly of the State of Paraiba, and the City of João Pessoa to promote trade and attract more investors to the state of Paraiba, Brazil.

The President of Brazil California Chamber of Commerce, Felipe Cusnir, and the Vice President of Institutional Relations, Fabio Cesnik, host the President of the City Council and council members for a meeting during the Los Angeles Brazilian Film Festival.

The City Council of João Pessoa had an important step on this official visit to the United States. The President of CMJP and City Councilmembers João Corujinha and Bruno Farias had meetings with the Los Angeles Mayor’s Office, the Brazilian Consulate in Los Angeles and the Brazil California Chamber of Commerce’s (BCCC). The delegation also had the participation of the State Representative Eduardo Carneiro, State Assembly Representative of the state of Paraiba, and the President of the Cultural Foundation of João Pessoa, Maurício Burity.

They all travelled to the United States to be a part of the Los Angeles Brazilian Film Festival and to follow an agenda with Brazilian and American authorities to promote trade and attract more investment to the state of Paraiba, Brazil. “This is an extremely important partnership, as the Brazil California Chamber of Commerce (BCCC) is located in the state with the highest GDP in the USA. Los Angeles is the American leader in the Pacific Rim, which includes the biggest economies in the world, such as: USA, Canada, Japan, China and South Korea. In this way, the celebration of this partnership agreement represents the possibility of large investments, as well as the promotion of a cultural exchange that will benefit both cities and will allow a flow of resources that will be essential in creating new jobs and income opportunities”, explains the City Council member Bruno Farias.

The BCCC President, Felipe Cusnir, and the Vice-President of Institutional Relations, Fábio Cesnik, hosted the meeting with the City Council, the State Assembly and the City of Joao Pessoa to discuss opportunities for collaboration and joint initiatives to strengthen the trade relationship between the states of Paraíba and California, and celebrated the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding to support All three institutions form a partnership with BCCC. “We are very satisfied with the results achieved until now. There is an open communication with the City’s Administration, there are projects being developed with the Brazilian Consulate, and now, this important partnership with the Chamber of Commerce. The state of Paraiba is very rich in the most diverse services and products, and we are certain that our state will benefit with all that is being set in the agreements we have established here in the United States”, explains the President of the CMJP, João Corujinha.
